Summary0003763: Event properties can not be dismissed/closed
Description
  • One user has problem on Firefox 47.x
  • He opens event properties (double click) to view it or to modify it
  • X button (to close the event popup) does not work, ESC does not work neither.
  • Only way to close the event properties is to refresh the page in the browser.
Steps To Reproduce

I can not reproduce this bug on my PC.

Additional Information

I have tried to clear browser cache (but only the following options):

  • Cookies
  • Cache
  • Active logins
  • Offline Website Data

Following options were not selected in order to keep his history and site preferences:

  • Browsing and Download history
  • Form and Search history
  • Site preferences

What are the ways to troubleshoot the problems further?
Is it necessary to clear everything in order to solve the mentioned issue?

Is there any JavaScript error in the console of the browser?

The user having that problem is not available this week.
I will check for any possible console (JavaScript) errors next week and I will come back with the results.

I have just added browser console log from another user which has the same problem, but this time on Google Chrome on Windows.

Forgot to mention that console output in sogo.example.com-1468315038677.log is generated only when the user opens the event properties.

Do you use a packaged build of SOGo or you build it yourself? You should also be able to close the dialog by clicking outside the box.

  • I am using packaged build of SOGo.
  • Dialog could not be closed neither by clicking outside the box.
  • Problem has disappeared on its own in the meantime for both users (PCs)

While testing the problem a week ago, I have even managed to produce it once on your test instance demo.sogo.nu. Once the problem appeared on your demo instance, I think that I did log off and login again, and I could not produce it anymore.

Most probably it is a strange browser cache(?) problem.
