Summary0001540: Unable to modify an event
Description

Hello,

With lightning-1.0b2.107i_linux-i686 I can't modify an entry on a CalDAV calendar and I get the following message in the error console :

uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE) [nsISupports.QueryInterface]" nsresult: "0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE)" location: "JS frame :: file:///home/alain/.thunderbird/pw2j3r3e.default/extensions/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/modules/calUtils.jsm -> file:///home/alain/.thunderbird/pw2j3r3e.default/extensions/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/calendar-js/calDavCalendar.js :: caldav_modifyItemOrUseCache :: line 711" data: no]

There is no problem to create or delete an entry, just to modify it.

With lightning-1.0b2.105i_linux-i686 it's ok to modify. It seems that the problem is arrived with lightning-1.0b2.106i_linux-i686 and is still present in lightning-1.0b2.107i_linux-i686.

Feel free to ask for more useful information.

Same behavior with the new v108 as with v106 and v107 : not possible to modify an event.

Can you try the nightlies: https://inverse.ca/downloads/extensions/nightly/ ?

You also need to update SOGo Integrator, if that's what you are using...

Thank you for your answer.
It's not better with nightlies for Lightning and SOGo-Connector.
Is it OK with version numbers for nightlies ? It's 107, not 108...

Thanks to a mail on users@sogo.nu (https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists/arc/users/2011-12/msg00272.html), I've just discovered that it works with cache enabled in lightning. Is it a feature or a bug to require cache since v106 ?

I know I have seen similar issues since using v106 lightning, with modify events. I have had to go back to v105 for my users, as they need to be able to modify events. As you can imagine it's quite a problem.

What about TB 10? Can you try as the improvements are now going into this version and not much into TB2/3.

We won't fix these. TB 3 and below are pretty much dead, and we don't have an Inverse Edition anymore.
