Summary0001538: Lightning Tab not restored
Description

Normally with Thunderbird 3.1.16 and Lightning, the builtin session manager tries to reopen the previous tab when opening a session.

When installing the modules with sogo-integrator (lightning-inverse + sogo-connector), the Calendar Tab isnt restored.

With the same xpi modules, installing lightning-inverse first, then sogo-integrator, all is fine.

Steps To Reproduce

----- Steps that do not make the things work -----

  • Create a new profile
  • Set up the primary account
  • Restart TB
  • Add the sogo-integrator module
  • Restart (auto-install sogo-connector and lightning-inverse)
  • Restart (automatic)
You can access the calendar data from SOGo
  • Restart (the calendar is caching data in [Profile]/calendar-data which takes some time)
  • Open the calendar tab
  • Restart : the only tab open is the mail one, no calendar tab

----- Step that make the things work -----

  • Create a new profile

  • Restart TB
  • Add the lightning-inverse module
  • Restart
  • Add the sogo-integrator module

    (auto-install/update sogo-connector and lightning-inverse)

  • Restart (the calendar is caching data in [Profile]/calendar-data which takes some time)
  • Open the calendar tab
  • Restart : the mail + calendar tabs are open :)
Additional Information

I don't know how/why but this has taken me some times to raise a solution.

I was hoping that this setting was part of the pref.js file (which can be deployed from integrator) but no noticeable difference was found.

The xpi used where the same ins the two cases.
We modified Lightning xpi with some customs tweaks for our users so I'll try to make the same with the default one.

We are currently using 1.3.9 on a Debian server.
The clients are using 106i versions under MS Windows XP
I'll try to provide some testing from Linux_x86 (Ubuntu)

Cannot reproduce it on demo (with 3.106i xpi's) (no integration, proxy error...)
Sorry, you'll have to believe me :)

Tested with SOGo unmodified xpi's (106i) :
Updated integrator to auto install lightning + connector

Same behaviour : installing first lightning then integrator is all fine ; installing integrator : no calendar tab on start

I will post here the differences in user profile (if any)

No longer accurate - at least with TB24 and 31.
