Summary0003464: Empty Adressbook in WebGUI with LDAP/ADS
Description

Im using Version 2.3.7a on CentOS 7. In Version 2.3.6 all works fine, but after updating to 2.3.7a (with yum) there are no entries in the Global Address Book any more. My SOGo is connected to an ADS. Downgrading SOGo to 2.3.6 again the Addressbook has content again. The SOGo-Addressbooks (not ADS) are working in 2.3.7a, but not the ADS-Versions.

This works as intended. The behavior in 2.3.6 was not the one we wanted.

I have now testet it with iRedmail an OpenLDAP: the same.
What is the wanted behavior? I have mde 2 Bokks vom ADS, one with our members and on with our groups, all is empty now.
What shell I do now if this is no error. The behavior in 2.3.6 is what we wanted.

For any LDAP-based address book, you have to search to get results. 2.3.6 was wrong about this and that is because a patch was wrongly included in it.

Hello,
thank you for the explanation. It works as you wanted.
But we have a small MTA with about 25 users and therfore it nice to have the full list of members or groups without searching.
Is there a chance to configure LDAP to work it again or, if not, is it possible to get this feature in a next release as option (default off)?

Thanls a lot,
Uwe Hanfland

Just set "listRequiresDot = NO;" in your SOGoUserSource.

(js) Improve sg-search directive

Will now respect the "listRequiresDot" source parameter and uses
ng-messages to show an error if the minimum number of characters is not
reached.
