Summary0000506: ugly problem with time zone
Description
  • in WebGUI I will create events "noon" started on 12:00 between 20.3. - 2.4.
  • I'm using Europe/Prague TZ in WebGUI
  • I'm using Europe/Prague TZ in Lightning
  • our DST comes on 28.3. when time is changed from 02:00 to 03:00

date I see in WebGUI I see in Lightning (and iPhone and Funambol clients)

  • 20.3. 12:00 CET 12:00 /inverse.ca/20091015_1/Europe/Prague
  • 21.3. 12:00 CET 13:00 /inverse.ca/20091015_1/Europe/Prague
  • 23.3. 12:00 CET 13:00 /inverse.ca/20091015_1/Europe/Prague
  • 27.3. 12:00 CET 13:00 /inverse.ca/20091015_1/Europe/Prague
  • 28.3. 12:00 CEST 12:00 /inverse.ca/20091015_1/Europe/Prague
  • 2.4. 12:00 CEST 12:00 /inverse.ca/20091015_1/Europe/Prague

=> when I create event in days 21.3.-27.3., I see it correctly in WebGUI,
but in other clients (Lightning, iPhone, Funambol) I see it with
wrong +1 hour shift.
This problem affects invitations too, so non-WebGUI users come to events
1 hour latter :-(

  • when I create same events in Lightning, no problem in WebGUI or Lightning

This is ugly bug which degrades quality of SOGo in eyes of users.
When you have some hot-fix, please send me it how it will be possible.
Thanks

This is now fixed in 54efe8046f7359444a19149b1c5e4ed19262c14e. Please note that you need to reopen and resave the faulty events, or to reimport them using the restore tool for activating the fix for previous events.
