Summary0001600: ZEG doesn't use Samba 4 aplha 17 Ubuntu packages
Description

The current ZEG VM uses a manually-installed Samba packages. As such, its binaries, logs and other files are not at the expected location.

Future ZEG VMs should use standard Ubuntu packages (although in this case, they are part of universe, ie. not commercially supported in this distribution, maintained by the community).

Until this is the case release notes for the ZEG could indicate not to expect Samba 4 files in the usual locations.

This will not be fixed. Especially since the next ZEG will be based on Samba 4 a18.

I suppose this will be mentioned in the release notes then ? Should I file a different bug report for that ?
